Welcome to the iPASTAR Publications Page!
We are looking forward to filling this page with our plans and results from our research on important topics for people affected by stroke.
Already we are delighted to have three protocols for reviews published. These are important first steps in ensuring the quality and transparency of the iPASTAR output.
Geraldine is working on her systematic review of the current evidence on interventions to assist the pathway to home following stroke. Her protocol describes her plans in detail:
1. Effectiveness of interventions to support the transition home after acute stroke: a protocol for a systematic review
Patricia is deeply involved in understanding the important role that Public and Patient Involvement (PPI) has on high quality, relevant and patient-centred research. She has published her protocol for a scoping review of the existing literature in this area.
2. Patient and public involvement in stroke research: a scoping review protocol
Deirdre will investigate the impact of pre-hospital telemedicine strategies on patient outcomes and on stroke services within the hyper-acute stroke care managment environment. Her protocol can be found here:
3. The impact of telemedicine enabled pre-hospital triage in acute stroke – a protocol for a mixed methods systematic review
