Olive Lennon is the Associate Dean for Post-graduate research Studies in the School of Public Health, Physiotherapy and Sports Science at University College dublin. She teaches on the Professional Masters in Physiotherapy and BSc Physiotherapy programmes.
Her research interests include non-pharmacological stroke secondary prevention; robotic assisted gait training; neuropathic pain in spinal cord injury; neuromuscular electrical stimulation and respiratory dysfunction in neurological populations.
She is PI on the SFI frontiers for the future project: 3Rs Restorative Rehabilitative Robotics, she leads the EU funded Research Innovation and Staff exchange programme: PROGAIT and is a project lead in the HRB Collaborative Doctoral Award, on Improving Pathways for Acute Stroke and Rehabilitation (iPASTAR). She is a former HRB Health Services Research Fellow and is a founding member of INSsPiRE an international network of stroke secondary prevention researchers.
